Sky’s thriller series Prisoner begins on April 30.
In Sky Original’s new thriller series Prisoner, moral boundaries are tested.
In this brand-new series, principled, ambitious prison transport officer Amber Todd finds herself caught in the middle of a power struggle in the criminal underworld and must quickly learn to trust someone feared by both sides of the law.
Amber, a trained hitwoman, has been assigned to transport high-value prisoner Tibor Stone to The Old Bailey to testify against his former employers. These employers are an elite criminal syndicate willing to do anything to stop them.

When the transport convoy is brutally attacked, Amber chains herself to Tibor to prevent him from escaping. Amber and Tibor, the only survivors of the ambush attack, begin to escape together and must work in harmony to reach the courtroom alive and on time.
Throughout the journey, unexpected developments occur in their relationship due to Amber’s distrust of everyone, especially the murderer to whom she is handcuffed. However, when everything she holds dear is at stake, she must face an impossible question: what moral boundaries is she willing to cross?
Matt Charman, the Oscar and BAFTA-nominated screenwriter of Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies, is the creator, executive, and co-executive producer of the series. Haleema Mirza (We Are Lady Parts, Secret Invasion) served as co-executive producer and writer.
The series was directed by Otto Bathurst (Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, Peaky Blinders), while subsequent episodes were directed by Pia Strietmann (Herrhausen – The Banker and The Bomb). . On behalf of Sky Studios, Matt Charman, Foz Allan, Otto Bathurst and Adrian Sturges served as executive producers. Barney Reisz was the series producer.
