Peacock’s M.I., which will premiere on May 7.A. The backdrop of this new crime drama is the bright lights of Miami city.

Created by Bill Dubuque (Ozark) and executive produced by Karen Campbell (Dexter, Raised by Wolves, Outlander: BOMB), M.I.A.In , drug trafficking is a family matter for Etta Tiger Jonze (Shannon Gisela). However, when the family business is threatened, she is dragged into an unexpected life and must use her wits to survive in Miami’s criminal underworld.

In the trailer, it is revealed that most of Etta’s family was killed, and the young woman is determined to take revenge. She must find and kill a dozen men who are responsible for the crime and are also hunting her. Beside her are her new friends Lovely (Brittany Adebumola) and Stanley (Dylan T. Jackson), who bring together the two largest communities in Miami: Latinos and Haitians. Naturally, there’s also a bit of “Que Bola” and “Sak Pase” influence.
